Blog 24- Last Presentation Reflection

(1) Positive Statement

What are you most proud of in your block presentation and/or your senior project? Why?
 What I was the most proud of in my presentation was that I made time, that was a huge relief when I heard I was good. What am I proud about in my senior project is that I got through it, I'm also happy about my independent components since they had a huge impact in my senior project.

 I think I did everything I was told to do, I don't think I did extra. I talked fast too so made it was hard for people to understand what I am saying.

Again, I did everything I was told. I was never late for assignments I was always on time. 

(3) What worked for you in your senior project?My topic in general worked for my project since it was something easy, and it was something easy for me to do. My eq was also great since it was really open ended that there are a lot of different answers. 

(4) (What didn't work) If you had a time machine, what would you have done differently to improve your senior project?
I wish I did a topic that I was actually really into, something I would have enjoyed more working on. 

(5) Finding Value

How has the senior project been helpful to you in your future endeavors?   Be specific and use examples.
 It has helped me become more responsible, I learned a lot from my topic.

• A senior citizen can increase their chance of a happy and healthy end of life by actively going to a social group.

• A senior citizen can increase the chances of a happy and healthy end of life by having family/friend support.

• Everyone needs their family or friends around. 
• At my center they have grandparents day, where the family members come to the center to spend the day. 
• In my interview my mentor always mentions how important family is to a senior.

Lesson 2 Reflection

1.What are you most proud of in your Lesson 2 Presentation and why?

• What I was most proud of in my lesson 2 presentation was that I finished it and I think I made time. The reason why is because I was worried that I wouldn't make time.

• I did everything that was under P consideration, I didn't do less or more.

3. What worked for you in your Lesson 2?

• The powerpoint helped me a lot, it made me feel less nervous because I knew that if I forgot something I could of just look at the board and I would remember.

4. What didn't work? If you had a time machine, what would you have done differently to improve your Lesson 2?

• I would have a better activity, I went the easy route and did a quiz, I would want to do something that would relate to my answer. Another thing is have more content, not just enough, that way I wouldn't be nervous about making time.

5. What do you think your answer #2 is going to be?

• My answer 2 will be on the importance of family members or friends in a senior citizens life.

Blog 11: Lesson 1 Reflection

1. What are you most proud of in your lesson, and why?

• What I am most proud of on my first lesson is that I finished on time, I talked enough to fill up 7 minutes, and still had more to talk about. This made me feel confident that when it comes to the longer presentations I will have enough to say.

2. What assessment would you give yourself on your lesson? Explain why you earned that grade using evidence from the component contract.

• I would give myself a P/AP, mainly because I talked to fast. I felt like this caused people to not understand what I was saying and that I made it hard to follow along with me. I think that everything else that is on the P column I did well. I did the basic things and did everything I was asked to do.

3. If you could go back, what would you change about your lesson?  How can you use that knowledge to give a better Lesson 2?

• If I can do my lesson 1 all over again I would be more relaxed, during my lesson I was nervous so I talked to fast, I got worried that the wasn’t understanding what I was saying, so that's something I would change. I would also fix my conclusion I didn't like at all how that ended, for my lesson 2 I would want to actually conclude not just say thank you and walk away. And lastly for my next lesson I want to memorize my lesson more, I looked at my paper a few times and I feel like this made me look unprofessional.
